Tooling for PU foam pipe insulation production

As part of the technological process for producing PU foam insulated pipes, the following elements are used:
— end flanges or caps installed at the ends of the pipe blank, whether it is a straight section or a shaped piece;
— positioning clamps that secure the flanges in the required position during the foaming polyurethane pouring process.
This tooling performs several important functions:
— ensures maximum sealing of the pipe ends during shell formation;
— minimizes PU foam leakage;
— allows free release of air displaced by the foam from the inter-pipe space.
The installation and removal of the tooling are automated, which significantly reduces time costs. Flanges and clamps are selected according to the pipe size, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the process.
To achieve high quality of the final product, a number of technological features must be taken into account. In particular, polyurethane foaming equipment varies in performance, and there are several types of insulated pipes — with PE casing, galvanized steel casing, as well as flexible and corrugated pipes with PU foam insulation.
